Event comments

The walk thru the Alpine Village, one of the top tourist attractions in the state, and along beautiful mountain trails with views of local springs, streams, and small waterfalls. Walk 10K mid-point is at Unicoi State Park conference center where a checkpoint will be located and restrooms available. Many, many special event are planed following the 5k or 10K walk in the style of a Bavarian Volksmarch. Since Alpine Helen is a German-style town the heavily supports the German and Austrian cultures, this walk will be very similar to Voilksmarches (i.e. WALKS or Hikes) in Germany and Europe.
