Lake Merced one of San Francisco's natural lakes, once inhabited by the Ohlone and present location of Harding Park S.F.'s premier golf course. Rowing clubs from nearby schools practice on the lake. Those who opt for the 11K will climb rustic steps to reach the viewpoint for the Pacific and hang gliders. Popular place for owners to bring their dogs.

Lake Merced Park Boat House, Harding ParkEast Bay: I-80 W to S.F. US-101S. Exit 431 to merge onto I-280 S - Daly City. Exit 50 - San Jose Ave. Right onto Sagamore St. Slight right onto Brotherhood Way. Turn left onto Lake Merced Blvd. to next right, then right on Skyline to Harding Rd, turning right into park.South: Take I-280 N. Left 3 lanes to exit 49B for CA-1 N - 19th Ave/G.G. Bridge. Then CA-1 N/Junipero Serra Blvd. Exit onto Brotherhood Way. Follow further directions as above. North: US-101S. Right 2 lanes to exit 438 for CA-1 S to 19th Ave/G. G. Park.
