Event comments

There are no restrooms at the Start/ Finish. Use restrooms before reaching Rockport. A public restroom is available on T Wharf about 2k from the start of the 5k trail or 3.5k from the start of the 10k trail. Two other public restrooms are open seasonally.

Event information

A walk fee of $4.00 for all. Both the 5k and the 10k courses are along the streets and rocky public footpaths (cliff walk) of the Town of Rockport. Highlights include scenic views of the ocean, the harbor, buildings constructed with granite from the local quarries, shops, restaurants, art galleries, the Shalin Liu Performance Center, and the famous Motif #1 on Bearskin Neck, said to be one of the most photographed and painted buildings in the USA. During the War of 1812, a British frigate raided the village, demolishing its small fort on Bearskin Neck, but retreated after a prisoner exchange
