You will walk from the Town of Steilacoom Community Center to Farrell's Marsh and back along different streets. Farrell's Marsh is a wildlife area and natural wetland bordering on the east with Fort Lewis. The trails within the marsh area are some gravel, but mostly dirt. They are not officially marked, so stay on the trails within the Marsh that we mark. The 10k continues after the marsh downhill to other walking trails to the south before returning uphill to the Center. There are restaurants in Steilacoom to enjoy before or after your walk, including a fine bakery.
