Long description
The 5k, 8k, and 10k routes have a common start. The 5k route goes through the historic downtown and commercial areas. The 8k and 10k routes also venture east and include old and new residential areas, a walking trail (10k only) and the cemetery. There is a short distance of natural walking surface and uneven sidewalks. The 10k has one significant uphill (about 80 feet) on a paved sidewalk. There we a few gradual hills on the route.

Newtown is very historic. It is one of William Penn's original towns, was prominent during the Revolutionary War, and served as the seat of Bucks County for 88 years. The Newtown Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
