Loop #1 has two hills which may be difficult for strollers and wheelchairs and for those not able to do hills. Loop #2 is on sidewalks and paved bike trails - no hills!

Event information
Trail is along historic streets, past local businesses and restaurants and on two scenic Rails-to-Trails. The route is two 5K loops from Centennial Library. Glen Carbon is listed on 100 Best Places to Live in USA and 50 safest cities in Illinois. Walk is open daily dawn to dusk. Restrooms and water are available at the start/finish. Pets are welcome but you must pick up after your pet.

Driving to the start box
70 W Main St, Glen Carbon, Illinois. From I-64 take I-255N to IL 162E (exit 29). Follow 162E to left on IL 157 to right on Main Street. Ask for the walk binder. Be courteous to store customers. Casey's General Store is open 5:00 am to 11:00 pm every day. After registering, drive 0.1 miles to Glen Carbon Centennial Library at 198 S. Main Street, on your left as you enter "Old Town" Glen Carbon. Parking is available at the library. If you want to use the library, check their hours at glencarbonlibrary.org.
