The walk goes along the Gulf of Mexico and a long distance on the beach. Returning through neighborhoods, past historic buildings, restaurants, and souvenir shops.

Comments
During the 1919 Hurricane which ravaged Corpus Christi , the island residents made their way to the highest point on the island, which is just off the beach near the current location of the UT Marine Science Institute, where they huddled and prayed for the hurricane to abate. 445 W. Cotter AVE, Port Aransas, TX 78373. Telphone: 361-416-1414. Cross the FREE ferry to Port Aransas, then follow TX-361 (Piper BLVD) for 0.1 miles to W. Cotter AVE. Stay on W. Cotter AVE for 0.1 miles. The Place Hotel is on the RIGHT. The Walk Box is located in Lobby. Open daily at 7:30am.
