Dawn, finish by dusk. Two 5k routes, one is a prairie trail and the other is on park roads and trails. One of 20 Iowa State Parks in 2020/ Cerro Gordo County. Camping is available.

Driving to the start box
From I-35, take exit 194, left (west) on IA-22/US 18W. Follow US 18W 5.3 miles, turn left (south) on McIntosh Road for .4 miles. Right on E Lake St to campground. Walk box is located in a kiosk near the Smoky the Bear statue.
