Event information
Daily-Dawn to Dusk. The trail tours the town where Harper Lee lived and wrote the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" and where Truman Capote spent his teenage years. See the Court House, jail and other buildings which were an inspiration to Harper Lee and were used in the book and movie. Enjoy the delightful wall murals along the route. Tour the cemetery where the Lees and relatives of Capote are buried. Walk through quiet, peaceful neighborhoods and along a pleasant lake and park.

Driving to the start box
57 S Mt Pleasant. I-65, exit 93 W to Monroeville on US 84. Approx 20 miles, at intersection with AL 21, turn right on AL 21. Follow AL 21 to town (do not take by-pass) to Hines. Left on Hines, then right on Mt Pleasant.
