Event comments
The first Thurs, Fri and Sat in May is the Tulip Time Festival when locals dress in Dutch costumes to wash the streets and have parades and celebrate thir Dutch Heritage. Thousands of tulips are in bloom all around Pella.

Event information
This walk is on city sidewalks and multi-purpose trails, but short stretches may require walking in the street. Along the trail will be shaded residential areas, Central College Campus, parks, Dutch windmills and canal, step-gabled buildings and Dutch bakeries.

Driving to the start box
209 Oskaloosa St. (Bus 163). Pella IA. From Des Moines take Hwy 163 E to exit 42, go left (N) to Oskaloosa St and turn right. From the E follow business 163 to Oskaloosa St.
