Do not leave car in store lot - start box has a parking map. Start box is gray plastic folder, ask for it at Service Desk, open 10-7. No restroom at start point; first restroom option at about 2K at park. All routes start at Beacon Hill Station. 5K returns here. Other routes finish at other Station and require fare purchase to board Light Rail for return to start. Pets are prohibited on Light Rail system.

Event information

The 11K route, rated 2A for stairs and moderate hills (no strollers), passes through several neighborhoods and parks, and along Lake Washington shoreline with views of downtown, Cascades and Olympics. The 11K route finishes at Mt Baker Station, requiring purchase of fare on Light Rail to return to start. The 5K route, rated 1A stays on Beacon Hill and returns to start without purchase of Light Rail fare. The 6K & 9K routes, rated 1A, walk the length of Beacon Hill, passing Jefferson Golf Course. The 6K continues on Chief Sealth Trail and finishes at Othello Station, while 9K continues through a greenbelt to finish at Rainier Beach Station. 6K & 9K routes require purchase of Light Rail fare to return to start.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:

2701 Beacon Ave. S., Seattle, 98144. From Light Rail disembark at Beacon Hill Station and take elevator up to street level. Grocery is across the street. Driving directions: From NB I-5: Take exit 163 and stay in far right lane for Columbian Way. Then move to left lane and turn left onto Spokane St. Drive uphill 1/4 mile and turn left onto Beacon Ave. S. After 1/2 mile, turn left onto McClellan; Red Apple is on right. From SB I-5: Exit onto I-90 EB; take exit 3 (Rainier Ave. S.) and turn right onto Rainier. After 3/4 mile, turn right onto McClellan. Drive 3/4 mile on McClellan, staying with it as it jogs. Red Apple is on right at top of hill. Metro bus 36, 60, 107.
