Event information
Daily dawn to dusk. To register the "Walk Box" is in cupboard toward rear of store. Walk is on city sidewalks. Site of the first Territorial Jail, library and Protestant Church north of the Columbia River. Steilacoom was the original capital of Washington State. The Catholic Mission has been in continual use since 1867. Pass ferry dock. Views of Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains and various islands served by the ferry. The 5km trail follows the 10K route into the town of Steilacoom and returns.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:
3025 Steilacoom Blvd. SW. From I-5 Exit 129 (So 72nd St). Southbound -Get in right lane on off-ramp following So 74th St Westbound. Turn right onto So 74th and follow it for 2.1 miles. After crossing Lakewood Dr. W., So. 74th becomes Custer Rd W. Follow Custer for 1.3 miles merging into right lane. Stay in right lane as it turns right onto 88th St W. After the first traffic signal 88th merges into Steilacoom Blvd SW. Follow Steilacoom Blvd for 2 miles to Sentinell/Far West Dr SW. Chevron Station is on the right. Park in a stall away from the station entrance Northbound - Get in left lane at end of off-ramp and turn left onto So. 72nd St. After crossing over I-5, So 72nd St becomes So 74th St. Follow Directions above to start point.
