Event information
10K walk consists of two separate trails. The 7K Icicle Gorge Trail is a loop trail that goes downstream on one side of Icicle Creek, crosses it and returns upstream on the other side of the creek to another bridge crossing and then back downstream to the start point. The 3K Chatter Creek Trail is a moderately difficult hiking trail (450 feet elevation gain in one mile) to a creek crossing with small waterfalls. Both trails have mountain and creek views. 7K Gorge Trail is rated 1B while the 3K Chatter Creek Trail is rated 2B. Daylight hours only. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended. A valid Federal lands pass is required for parking. A day-use NW Forest Pass can be purchased at the Icicle Gorge trailhead. Bring exact amount because no change is available. Along the trail and in the campgrounds are pit toilets. Wa. State Challenges: 39 Cos. - Chelan.

Driving to the start box
505 US 2, Leavenworth, WA. 98826 1-800-961-0162. EASTBOUND: US 2 to Leavenworth. Entering Leavenworth, hotel is on right. WESTBOUND: US 2 to Leavenworth. Go through town to west end. Hotel is on left. Ask for "Walk Box" at registration desk. After registering, you drive 15.5 miles up Icicle Creek Rd to the Icicle Gorge Trailhead parking lot for the 7K Gorge River Trail and then drive 0.7 miles to the Chatter Creek Trailhead parking lot for the 3K Chatter Creek Trail. Driving directions to walk start are on the walk instructions. Daily dawn to dusk.
