DRIVE TO START: From Enumclaw, drive east on State Route 410 (Chinook Pass Highway) toward Chinook Pass (about 44 miles). Park at the Tipsoo Lake parking area, a half mile west of Chinook Pass. You will need to have a Golden Eagle Pass per car or a USFS Northwest Forest Pass. You can stop at the Ranger Station in Enumclaw to purchase one (daily pass is $5). Restrooms at the trail head only. PPSF

Event information

Start at Tipsoo Lake parking lot. The route follows the PCT/Naches Peak Loop Trail NE for a total 700 foot elevation gain. An extension down and back up to Dewey Lake adds an additional 700 feet in elevation. The views of Mt. Rainier on the return are spectacular. Trail is in Mt Rainier National Park and the William O. Douglas Wilderness.
