Event information

The route is an out-and-back trail of 6.2 miles. The first 1.5 miles is on paved trail. The second 1.7 miles enters into the Grace Coolidge Walk-In Fishing Area with several wooden plank creek crossings. The return trip is on the same trail.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

Register at the Peter Norbeck Outdoor Recreation Center located at 13378 US Hwy 16A, which is 1/2 mile west of the Visitors Center in CSP. From Rapid City take Hwy 79 south to Hwy 36 and follow it to the park entrance gate. Continue west on Hwy 16A for 3 miles. A valid Park entrance permit is required for all vehicles in the Park.
