Event comments
$5 entrance fee in park unless you have a state park pass. Bring binoculars, insect repellent and water. Be on the lookout for Green Jays, Chachalacas, Altamira Orioles, Javelinas, Bobcats, Ocelots (very rare) and other wildlife. There are more than 325 species of birds that may be seen at Bentsen. Wheelchairs and strollers would find these trails a bit challenging. Access to Hawk Tower is a gentle ramp.

Event information
The walk explores virtually every corner of the State Park. The 3 trails provide a relatively easy walk. Bentsen State Park is the HQ for the World Birding Center. The Visitors Center is open Dec-May, Tu-Sun, and Jun-Nov, Th-Sun. Hours are 7:30 am-5 pm

2800 S Bentsen Palm, 78572. From US 83 expressway, West of Mission, exit on Bentsen Palm, drive South to end of road. Parking lot on left, visitors center on right.
