From the Lake Merced Shoreline, stroll along Historic Great Highway and Ocean Beach. Explores San Francisco's Carville history , as well as other points of S.F. history including S.F. Zoo and iconic Doggie Diner head.

Driving to the start
1 Harding Road, San Francisco, CA 94132: from the East: take I-80 W to San Francisco. Merge onto US-101S. Take Exit 431 to merge onto I-280 S toward Daly City. Take exit 50 for San Jose Ave. Turn right onto Sagamore St. Slight right onto Brotherhood Way. Turn right onto Lake Merced Blvd. Turn left and left again to stay on Lake Merced Blvd. Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Skyline Blvd. Turn left onto Harding Rd. From the South: Take I-280 N. Use the left 3 lanes to take exit 49B for CA-1 N toward 19th Avenue/Golden Gate Bridge. Continue onto CA-1 N/Junipero Serra Blvd. Exit onto Brotherhood Way. Turn right onto Lake Merced Blvd. Turn left and left again to stay on Lake Merced Blvd. Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Skyline Blvd. Turn left onto Harding Rd. From the North: Take US-101S. Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 438 for CA-1 S toward 19th Ave/Golden Gate Park. Continue onto CA-1/Veterans Blvd. Turn right onto Sloat Blvd. Slight left onto Skyline Blvd. Turn left onto Harding Rd.
