Across the bridge in front of the home is the Presidential Museum and Leadership Library. During warm or hot weather it is advisable to walk early in the morning and to carry water.

Event information

The walk is on sidewalks and walking trails around the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Campus. It includes a nature trail around a duck pond. Bring binoculars as you may see black tail prairie dogs, rabbits, and burrowing owls. See the restored and relocated home of George H.W. Bush and childhood home of George W. Bush. See the Stonehenge Replica erected in 2004.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

From I-20 take Exit 121 to Headlee Loop TX-338 North. Go North on TX 338. Turn west onto University Blvd. About 1/4 mile west, park in the small parking lot on north side of University Blvd.
