The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library is open M-Sat 9:30- 4, Sunday noon-4. Quaker Oats is the largest cereal factory in the U.S. Cedar Rapids is known as the "City of Five Seasons", but what is the 5th season? There are the regular four seasons, with the 5th the time to enjoy them. This walk is part of Iowa's Walking Club County Program, Linn County.

Event information

This hike takes us along the Cedar River, past several of the city's fine museums, as well as three buildings that are or have been the city's main library. It also includes the carriage house where painter Grant Wood once lived and where he painted "American Gothic". The 10k adds on a circuit around Cedar Lake and passes Quaker Oats.

This event also has a physical start box. These are the driving directions:

From the north on I-380, take Exit 19B and continue on L St. Left on Diagonal Dr SW for 3 blocks. R on 1st St SE. L on 15th Av SW (right after 12th Av). Museum is on left at end of the block. From the south on I-380, take Exit 18. Proceed across Wilson and continue along 3rd Av SW. R on 16th Av, R on 1st St SW and immediately L on 15th Av SW. The museum is on the right. The 10k route is currently closed due to construction.
