Event information
Start point open 6 am-11pm. This walk is an out and back on hard surface Heart of Iowa Nature Trail. Converted rail trail crosses the Des Moines River on the beautiful 13 story High Trestle Bridge. Lighted bridge is spectacular at night. Because of heavy bike traffic a flashlight and/or reflective clothing is a MUST at night.Remote start point is at trailhead 2 blocks south of Git N' Go.

Driving to the start box
From the east and north, take I-35 and exit 102 (Hwy 210, Cambridge/Huxley) west approx 10 miles to T intersection of Hwy 17. Turn left for 2 blocks. From the south and west take I-80/I-35 and exit 127 (Hwy 141) north to Hwy 17. Go north on Hwy 17 approx 9 miles.
