The Heritage Trail takes you along the Rappahannock River, Old Mill Park and Canal Path, and through a botanic garden and past many historic properties and monuments in Fredericksburg. Special Programs: Par for the Course (5K and 10K); Step to the Beat, Town Halls/City Halls, Walking with America's Veterans, Washington-Rochambeau RR, Virginia Special Program: Find the Love (10K only)

VC open daily 9am - 4 pm Mon-Sun. Best to call first. 540-373-1776. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years day. Great views of rapids and whitewater, particularly in the springtime. Drive to start of 5K in Old Mill Park 2201 Caroline St., 2201 Caroline St.
