Event comments
The 10-K route is primarily along city sidewalks and may include lightly travelled residential streets, where sidewalks do not exist. The route will take in historic downtown Maysville with its flood wall murals and pass through some city parks and the historic Maysville-Mason County Cemetery. The 10-K route will have all indicated qualifers for current special programs. The 6-K route follows much the same route as the 10-K route, but shorter and may not include all of the indicated qualifers for current special programs.

Event information
NO Free Walkers, except county residents. As an event hosted by the Regional Director, the event serves two purposes. First, it is a fund raising activity for the American Volkssport Association.Second, it is to attract attention to Volkssporting with the goal of generating local interest for Club formation in a currently clubless state. Participants encouraged to wear T-shirts with Volkssporting logo. Current Volkssporters may be conscripted on-site to assist with the event. Recommend walkers use their walking sticks due to old and uneven sidealks. Recommend walkers carry water.

Driving to the start
Start Point at Maysville River Park Marina, 100 Main Street, Maysville, KY 41056. From I-275 take Ohio Exit #71 onto US 52 Eastbound. Remain on US 52 to Aberdeen, OH, where US 62 will intersect US 52 from the South. Turn Right onto US 62 to cross over the Ohio River into Maysville. At the intersection of US 62 and East Third Street Turn Left onto East Third Street, which will become Kentucky Route 10 and Forest Avenue. Follow Forest Avenue/Route 10 to its intersection with Main Street, and Turn Left onto Main Street. Follow Main Street to the Maysville River Park Marina, where you wil see IVV signage. Alternate route is to take I-75 Kentucky Exit 126 onto US 62 Northbound. Remain on US 62 to East Third Street in Maysville. Turn Right onto East Third. Proceed as directed above.
