Enjoy a winding trail along the forest floor before ascending the mountain to walk out onto the extended arm of Crazy Horse.

Event information

Crazy Horse Memorial charges an admittance fee of $10. for one person, $15. for 2 people, $15 for 3 or more people per car. However, for this historic event they are waiving the entrance fee if each participant donates 3 cans of food for the food drive. If you forget the food then you pay the fee listed above. BHVA has a $3. walk fee for each participant that is a separate fee. There is an ATM machine inside the Memorial if you need cash. Should Crazy Horse staff clear the mountain due to weather there will be no refunds.

Driving to the start

From Hill City, SD head south and Crazy Horse Memorial will be on your left. From Custer head north and Crazy Horse Memorial will be on your right. Follow parking directions provided by Crazy Horse staff and volunteers.
