Event comments

In 1931 land was purchased for the state park. In the 1930’s the Civilian Conservation Corps built the awe-inspiring lodge with rustic timbers and mammoth stone fire place. Currently, the lodge operates a hotel with 50 guest rooms and 22 stone cottages. In addition, there is a fine restaurant open to the public. A visitor’s center is also in the park which has a 3 dimensional map of the park and other exhibits.
