Event comments

Begin in the Town Centre section of Neptune Beach. This small beach community has many local restaurants and shops, including Pete's Bar made famous in John Grisham's novel The Brethren. Walk through the eclectic residential area of Neptune Beach with many old Florida 1950 and 1960's style beach homes. Continue into the newly redeveloped pavilion area of Jacksonville Beach with more restaurants and shops. Take a few minutes to enjoy Pablo Historical Park. Based on the tides, you will be able to walk along the beautiful Atlantic Ocean either on the outbound walk or when returning.

Driving to the start box

Homespun Kitchen, 299 Atlantic Blvd. Public parking is available on the streets within the Beaches Town Center. Parking is free in parking spaces marked with "P" from midnight-11 am. Paid parking is enforced all other hours at $1 per 1/2 hour. Start Box located on shelf to the right as you walk in.
