Event comments

Enjoy walks through historic downtown Orlando passing the Lake Eola art sculptures, City Hall, Performing Arts Centre and the County Courthouse. Lake Eola fountain was completely refurbished in 2011 providing a nightly light show with music. Look for the famous "black swans" and take a ride in the swan paddle boats. History notes on walk instructions. Restrooms at start. Park in lot. Center open M-W 8-8; Thur - 10pm; Fri - 5pm; Sat 9am-10pm; closed Sunday.

The AVA registration procedure provides for an online waiver, ability to download your own instructions to print or display on a phone or tablet, and receive insert cards from the online system. Under 13 free if not stamping books.

DIRECTIONS: GPS: 28.5316611,-81.3755015. To the walk start at Beardall Senior Center at 800 N Delaney Av. from I-4E/W, use exit 82B, Anderson St. to Orange Av. Right on Orange Ave to 3rd light (Gore Av). Left, then left at mid-block into the Senior Center.
