The route consists of village streets and sidewalks beneath old growth hardwoods that will take you along the shores of Winona Lake, through the campus of Grace College, and past a number of historic sites associated with Billy Sunday. (You may even see some ghosts along the route).

Event information
Use of alcohol or tobacco products in the community is frowned upon. Restrooms/water available at the Start Point. Insert pages are available in the Start Box - no IVV books. This is a Credit Only Event. Start Point open year round Monday 10 am to 2 pm, Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. ALL times Eastern. The Start Point is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Park in parking area for The Boathouse. Ask for the Volksmarch Box at the Winona Mercantile. From the intersection of US 30 and Center St. turn west onto Center St. to head into Warsaw. At the intersection of Center St. & Argonne Rd. (second stoplight), turn left and follow the signs into Winona without leaving the road. After passing under the rail trestle continue straight on Park Ave. As you go into Winona Lake, you will see The Boathouse on your right. The Winona Mercantile is located in The Boathouse.
