Event information
Mon - Sun 6:30am to 10pm. Closed Christmas. The very historic, Old Hangtown segment, will take you through downtown, passing many historic buildings including the oldest working hardware store west of the Mississippi and through some residential areas. The 10km continues to a Gold Mine, where the terrain is dirt trails. The 14km segment is out and back over Weber Creek, the Rails to Trails part of the old Southern Pacific Railroad, Sacramento to Placerville line. It has 5, 10, and 14km options, and is suitable for strollers, but not wheelchairs.

Driving to the start box
222 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667. From Sacramento take 1-50 eastbound to Placerville, exit Right at Spring St./CA 49. Turn Left onto Main St. Buttercup Pantry is on the Right. From Lake Tahoe, take 1-50 westbound, to Placerville. At 2nd stoplight turn Left onto Spring St./CA 49, then turn Left onto Main St.. Pantry is on the Right. The walk box is behind the counter, just ask an employee for it.
