Event information
Start/Finish during daylight hours only! Snow/ice cancels event. Olympic Valley, formally known as Squaw Valley, was the site for the 1960 Winter Olympics. This walk will take you through the world-renown Olympic venue near Lake Tahoe. From the starting point, walk through the Village area, then on to view the historic Squaw Valley Chapel, one of 3 buildings remaining from the Olympics. Thereafter, you will walk along the valley floor, (6200' elevation) mostly on paved bike/walking paths that include views of the golf course.

Driving to the start box
1750 Village East Rd. Olympic Valley, CA 96146 Directions: Eastbound I-80 from Sacramento or Westbound I-80 from Reno, exit #185 Hwy. #89/Lake Tahoe at Truckee to Tahoe City. Go south on Hwy. #89 to Olympic Valley Rd. (approx. 8 mi.) Turn right onto Olympic Valley Rd. for 2.1 mi. Then turn left onto Village East Rd. Destination is on your right.
