Event comments

The route will lead through shaded, residential areas of St. Charles located on the banks of the Missouri River. This area of Missouri has been welcoming visitors since 1769 - including Lewis & Clark. Participants will be able to walk along Main Street's historic buildings & unique shops including the First Capitol of Missouri. Historic Main Street is cobblestone/brick so there is need to watch your footing. It is usually busy with tourists so please do not bring your 4-legged friends. And the route will include parts of Frenchtown with its French Colonial architecture. A part of the routes will include the Katy Trail State Park (Rail Trail) which is adjacent to the Missouri River & sandwiches Frontier Park. The 10km route will have some hills while the 5km will be fairly flat but still will have a few small inclines. Both trails will have areas of full sun exposure. Please take water with you. Come and spend the day exploring Saint Charles with its numerous historic sites.
