Event comments
We will be walking on a portion of the Laguna de Santa Rosa-Cotati Trail, some paved, some gravel/dirt trail. The Laguna de Santa Rosa is a 22 mile wetlands complex that drains a 254 sq mile watershed. City Hall is in an old school with the Cotati Museum next door open Saturdays 1-4pm. Downtown Cotati had the Inn of the Beginning, an old hippie era cabaret, with visiting musicians, Arlo Guthrie, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia & Joan Baez drawing overflow crowds! The old signage may still be there. There are many restaurants in the area. The Cotati Veteran's Memorial Building is on the route, as well.

Driving to the start
6248 Redwood Dr, Rohnert Park, CA. From the Golden Gate Bridge, head northwest on US-101N 43 miles. Take exit 483 for Rohnert Park Expy .03 miles, use the middle lane to turn left on RP Expy .03 miles, turn right on Redwood Dr .01, turn right between car wash & American Tire shop .01 to Hampton Inn. From CA-12W into Santa Rosa left on Farmers Lane. .06 miles. Turn right using 2 right lanes onto State Route 12W ramp to Eureka/San Francisco/Sebastopol. 1.7 miles,. Take exit 7A for US-101S toward San Francisco 5.7 miles. Take exit 483 for Rohnert Park Expy .03, turning right on RP Expy. 01, Turn right on Redwood Dr .01 & right again between carwash & American Tire to Hampton Inn.
