Walk is rated a 2B. Trail is on sidewalks and nature trails. Strollers or wheelchairs are welcomed. Carrying water and using sunscreen is highly recommended. Water is available at the start/finish. Please allow 2+ hours to enjoy the walk. Participants may register for a timed 5K event for $35 ($20 for students). In 1.3 miles turn LEFT onto Main St. In 2/10 mile turn RIGHT onto Security Blvd. In 1/2 mile turn LEFT onto Crawford Ave. In 7/10 mile turn LEFT onto Widick St. In 3/10 mile turn LEFT at Modell Dr. *From I-25 Northbound: Take Exit 132 Mesa Ridge Parkway and turn RIGHT at the top of the ramp. In 6/10 mile take the exit for US-85N and turn LEFT at the 'T'. In 1.2 miles turn RIGHT to Fontaine Blvd, cross the railroad tracks and turn LEFT onto Security Blvd. In 8/10 mile turn RIGHT onto Crawford Ave. In 7/10 mile turn LEFT onto Widick St. In 3/10 mile turn LEFT at Modell Dr. **Parking Choices: There is a parking lot on your right. If that lot is full continue past the concession stand (the Start!) and there is another parking lot on your right. If that lot is full, continue to the Parks & Rec loop, turn right and go all the way around the library and back to the south to the large south parking lot.

Event information

Event Elevation 5,664 feet. This is the 6th Annual Tracy Vsetecka Memorial Volksmarch. Tracy Vsetecka was a principal in the Widefield School District 3 for over 13 years. Her unexpected passing affected many throughout the community. Tracy's engaging presence, positive nature, and ever-present smile made a lasting impact on all she knew and those she had only just met. Her family has joined with Widefield Parks & Recreation and Woodland Wanderers to extend her celebration of life and enjoyment of exercise to the community with a non-competitive walking event in her honor.
