Event comments

On the first portion of this hike on the PCT, you will hike through part of the Stevens Pass ski area with its ski lifts and power lines while climbing and switch backing up to an open ridge top with its views of the local mountains. After descending some on the far side of the ridge, you'll level out and enter the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Once you get to Lake Susan Jane, the PCT climbs a short way above the lake to another ridge top where you then turn onto the Icicle Creek Trail and hike down to the outlet creek on Josephine lake where there are several campsites. Elevation gain total to Josephine Lake and back is 2300'.
