Event comments
Hike options: 1) to Lower Twin Lake and return to trailhead is 6.5km. 450' elevation gain in, 150' out. 2) Roundtrip; to Upper Twin Lake, around the lake and back to trailhead is 10km. 1100' elevation gain. 3) As mapped includes loop trail, same 1100' elevation gain, 11.6km.Easy grade for the most part, especially early on the wide, initial PCT trail for 2.1km before turning off onto the Twin Lakes Trail (# 495.) You take this trail around both lakes and continue until you hit the PCT again at 7.0km, returning on the PCT to the Sno-Park turn-off.

Event information
NW Forest Pass required to park. $5 recreation day pass required. Pay at the trailhead. You are in the Mount Hood Wilderness of the Mount Hood National Forest. Check with the forest service office for snow and trail conditions: Sandy, OR, 503-668-1700. Vault toilet in parking lot, none on trail. Elevation at start 3925'. Be sure to take the 10 essentials on any hike on the PCT. Hiking boots and poles recommended. Dogs OK with 6' leash.
