Event comments
10 km and 5 km walkers will stroll through the Workhouse Arts Center, along the Fairfax Cross County Trail and Occoquan River. Both routes are mostly on paved surfaces and include a long hill to/from the river. You will also walk near the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial and Lucy Burns museum, which highlights 90+ year history of the former prison complex and events during 1917 which helped American women gain the right to vote. A colorful LOVE statue at the Workhouse Arts Center qualifies for Virginia's “Find The Love” special program. Enjoy food and beverages at Brickmakers Cafe in Occoquan Park.

9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton VA 22079. Driving directions: Interstate 95 to Exit #160, North on VA-123 (Ox Road) toward Occoquan. After two miles, turn right into Workhouse Arts Center parking lot. Walk to building # W-16 and look for red 3-ring binder inside front glass door on left side.
