Event comments
The in-town walk is mainly on street shoulders, sidewalks and the boardwalk on the Atlantic Ocean. This is a small, family oriented resort town. There are two Veterans Monuments for the boardwalk walk One is a Blue Star Memorial across Rt 1 (by the totem pole) slightly off the trail. The second is a POW-MIA chair by the flagpole about the middle of the boardwalk. Town Hall/City Hall at both locations. On Garfield Parkway in town and at start of Canal trail. Par for the Course is at both locations: Garfield Parkway playground in town and a playground at the start of the Canal trail. There is a labyrinth at the church near the end of the 5K on the Ocean View trail. The Assawoman Canal Trail is more of a natural setting. The Veterans Monument is by the Ocean View Community Center next to trailhead parking.

Dawn-dusk. . NO DOGS ON BOARDWALK MAY 15-SEP 30. Bethany Beach is a treasure! The walk includes the boardwalk, right on the Atlantic Ocean, a small park, beach cottages (large and small), shops and restaurants, a band stand, and plenty of fresh, salt air. Rocking along the clock special program is located in boardwalk 5k only. Second 5k is at the Assawoman Canal Trail. Come visit and enjoy the walk!
