Event comments
Daily dawn to dusk. Walk on city sidewalks along Alki Beach on Puget Sound. Enjoy views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, the Olympic mountains, the Seattle skyline, and a monument to Seattle's birthplace. The 10K route continues to the Log House Museum, to Constellation Park on Beach Drive and the Alki Point Lighthouse. You can watch volleyball games on the beach, rollerbladers, joggers, scuba divers, Washington State ferries to Bremerton and Bainbridge Island and the foot ferry to Seattle. As you return to the start, look at the waterfront to left of main downtown and you can see the Terminal 86 Grain Facility. Restrooms along beach. WA Challenges: 39 Counties: King County; Frontline Heroes: Sustenance. Oregon Peace Pole challenge - 10K only, in front of Log House Museum.

Driving to the start box
2429 Harbor Ave SW., Seattle, WA. Directions: I-5 NORTHBOUND: Exit #163 (West Seattle Br/Columbian Way). Follow signs for West Seattle Bridge. Continue onto bridge. Take exit for Harbor Ave SW/Avalon Way. RIGHT onto Harbor Ave SW. 7-11 Store is one mile on the left. I-5 SOUTHBOUND: Exit #163A (W Seattle Bridge/Columbian Way). Continue as above. The walk box is on the right side of the checkout counter as you enter the store. A Tackle box kept on floor by wall. Sometimes left corner near ATM. Register here and drive to the start of the walk.
