Event information

Walk on paved sidewalks often in shady areas. Both routes focus on Salem Heritage Grant and Highland Neighborhoods north of the State Capitol. June 2025: The 10k is now 2 5k loops from the Coffeehouse, permitting restroom break between the 2 loops. Grant neighborhood has lovely residences and gardens. Highland routes include heavily remodeled Herbert Hoover childhood house. A street mural is in each area. 10k also goes to the Oregon School for the Deaf in the Highland area. A new 2k option on the 10k route goes to Oregon State Fair fairgrounds.

Broadway Coffeehouse, 1300 Broadway St NE, Salem OR 97301, (503)990-8139. Walk binder on ledge at Information Desk on the right when entering from the parking lot. Payment to be mailed to club. Driving directions: I-5, exit 256, Market Street. LEFT (northbound), RIGHT (southbound) to Market St. GO 2 miles to Broadway, RIGHT on Broadway to next traffic light at Hood. RIGHT on Hood & immediate RIGHT to parking lot behind Broadway Commons. Can also park on nearby streets. From OR22 West: LEFT on Liberty St after crossing Center Street bridge; GO about half a mile to intersection with Broadway. LEFT on Broadway to Hood St (2nd street after Market at next traffic light), Follow above directions.
