Fort Snelling is one of Minnesota's top 10 tourist attractions. It is adjacent to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Wildlife is plentiful and hiking trails run throughout the park.

Event information
A State Park Pass is required, either an annual pass ($35) or a day pass ($7) which may be purchased at the park office upon entering the park in person or on your smart phone. The 5 km loop follows the Minnesota River and goes around Snelling Lake. The 6 km loop trail goes around Pike Island. Free parking and restrooms available at start point.
