You will walk near playgrounds, sports fields, open grassy areas, and forest on this lovely walk on Bainbridge Island.5k (1A) is completely within Battle Point Park on paved or compacted smooth dirt paths. This is the only walk suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.5k (2B) and10K (3B) are within Battle Point Park but also the forested Grand Forest System with inclines and occasional roots.

Walk within an old military base (Battle Point Park was a former US Navy radio transmitter station in World War II) and forest paths. This walk is both in the shade and out in the open. One 5K stays within Battle Point Park. The other 5K and 10K are on park and forest paths that take you around Battle Point Park and onto the Forest to Sky trail to the Grand Forest.
