The San Antonio Pathfinders, Texas Volkssport Association, Rockport City and Aransas (County) Pathways are co-hosting two days of AVA sanctioned walks in Rockport and Fulton, Texas. This event is planned Saturday and Sunday, November 9th and 10th, 2024. The Saturday Walk will be from the Connie Hager Pavilion through Rockport, Texas. You will see the old town, unique shops and the Aransas Bay front, and experience a walk through the once-a-month street market called "2nd Saturday Market in Downtown Rockport". The Sunday Walk will be from the host hotel through historic Fulton, Texas. You will see coastal living areas and markets, historic buildings and the frontal bay area. On Saturday, November 9. 2024, a semiannual meeting of the representatives from the various Texas AVA clubs will be held in the afternoon at the host hotel's conference room. If interested, everyone is invited to attend. The Fairfield by Marriot Hotel, 2950 Hwy N 35 Business, Rockport, Texas (phone 361-727-9007) is the host hotel for this two-day event. Event information
The Saturday Walk will start at the Connie Hager Pavilion in Rockport, Tx, which is a 10-minute drive from the host hotel. There is parking and restrooms. The Sunday Walk will be from the host hotel. There are restrooms available along the trail and checkpoint/wellness stations for both walks. Everyone will walk with a "Start Card", signing an athletic waiver. There is a $4.00 fee to walk.

Driving to the start
Take I-37 South from San Antonio, Tx to exit 31 at US 188 intersection. Turn Left (East) to FM 1069. Turn Left, and proceed to Rockport, Tx. Road turns into W. Market St in Rockport. Turn Left on Hwy N 35 Business to Fairfield by Marriot Hotel at 2950. From Houston, Tx take I-69 SW. Take US 59 S and Tx 35 Business South to Fulton. Fairfield by Marriot Hotel is at 2950.
