Event information
Walk starts in a park and then through the heart of downtown Albany passing many historical sites before entering the Tulip Gardens in Washington Park. In the gardens, the King Memorial Fountain stands splendid and tall among the tulips. It was erected at the bequest of the sons of Rufus Henry King and was unveiled in 1893.

Driving to the start
Corning Preserve Playground, Quay St., Albany, NY 12207. From North, East, & West: Take I-787 south to exit 3B West Madison Ave toward US-20 W/Port of Albany. Take left at the first light onto Broadway. Take left at the T-intersection onto Quay St. Continue on US 9N staying in the right lane along the Hudson River. Enter Corning Preserve Riverfront Park on the right into the parking lot. From South: Take I-787 North to exit 4 Rt.9N/20W/Downtown Albany. Merge onto Quay St. then follow from above.
