5k route entirely in the state park on well-groomed walking trails (packed sand). 10k route continues to a paved hike/bike trail along the Rio Grande River just outside the park. Registration table located at park on Thurs & Fri, May 1-2 from 8:00 to 11:00.This is one of 10 convention walks. Check the AVA website for more info and pictures of all the walks.Car parking fee required $10 for out-of-state, $5 for New Mexico residents. Free if arriving by bus.

Driving to the start
5000 Calle del Norte. From I-10, take Calle del El Paso (becomes Avenida de Mesilla) toward Mesills. Continue to Calle del Norte, then right (west) on Calle del Norte. Cross bridge over the Rio Grande River to the park entrance on the left side immediately after the bridge.Car fee ($10 non-residents, $5 for New Mexico vehiclss. Free if arriving by bus or walking into the park.
