The route weaves through scenic woods, around a small lake and to a popular farmer's market as well as near residential neighborhoods in Burke Centre. The trail is mostly on paved sidewalks with some natural-surface segments. Probably not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers (except for large-wheel "off-road" strollers). Driving to the start
Villa Bella Restaurant, 6050 Burke Commons Road, Unit C, Burke, VA 22015 in Burke Town Center. Capital Beltway (I-495), exit 54A (Braddock W) to Fairfax, continue W on Braddock (VA 620), toward Burke Station Rd. Turn right onto VA-652. Use the 2 left lanes to turn left onto Roberts Pkwy. After .8 miles, turn left into Burke Town Center. Turn right to park. Registration table will be on the grass near the Villa Bella Italian Restaurant.
