Event comments
Although we face heat and mosquitos on this walk the payoff is well worth our efforts. Water, sunscreen and bug spray are welcome additions in the walk bag. This easy walk along the creek is breathtakingly beautiful. But the real payoff is one of the wonderful treats the families of the fire department sell. Bring some extra cash for your choice of cinnamon or caramel rolls. a vast variety of pie plus ice cream.

Driving to the start
From Rapid City take Hwy 44 west to Hwy 385. Turn right and continue to Whispering Pines Campground then turn left onto Co. Rd. T299. Go 5 miles to Silver City. Watch for yellow BHVA signs.
