Event information
Walk Box located on floor under bench or ask cashier. The trail leads through pleasant residential neighborhoods and follows the Mount Vernon hiker/biker trail for more than 4 KM beside Dyke Marsh and the Potomac River. An optional 2 KM trail leads out and back to a point overlooking the marsh, which is a popular locale for birdwatchers.

1512 Belle View (Belle View Shopping Center) 703-768-0100. From MD or VA on Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495): Drive to Alexandria, exit 177A (US-1 S; Ft Belvoir). Merge left about 0.2 miles, turn left at Huntington. Turn left to drive on Huntington for 1 block to Ft Hunt. Turn right, drive S on Ft Hunt about 1 mile to 2nd traffic signal, Belle View. Turn left, drive E on Belle View for about 2 blocks on Belle View. Bread and Water Company at far (E) end of shopping center on left.
