Event information
Walk is 7KM or 11KM. Trail is rated 2B and is a pretty walk in the woods, especially during the spring and fall. Trail follows somewhat hilly but mostly shaded paved paths. 7KM passes through woods, along small streams, and goes around Lake Mercer before returning to the start/finish point. 11KM takes an additional trail to a view of Burke Lake before returning to the start/finish point. Bathrooms available inside RECenter.

I-66: Exit 55 (Fairfax Co Pkwy/VA-286). S VA-286 to Fairfax about 10 miles, traffic signal with Reservation Drive left, and South Run Recreation Center to right, 7550 Reservation Drive Springfield VA 22153. Right to road into park. Park in lot in front of RECenter. I-495 (Capital Beltway): Exit 54A (Braddock Rd W), about 1.4 miles to traffic signal at Burke Lake. Left to drive Burke Lake, about 3.6 miles to traffic signal at Fairfax Co Pkwy (VA-286). Left to VA-286, drive 2 miles, traffic signal with Reservation Rd left, and South Run Recreation Center to right. Right to road into park, parking lot front of RECenter.
