This is annual fundraiser for the World Heritage Spanish Missions. Both 5 and 10 km routes go through Mission San Jose and Hot Wells. Enjoy the festival afterwards.

Event comments
Enjoy the part atmosphere at the World Heritage Festival. There is a group walk starting at 7:30 am. Walkers leave the park and head to Mission San Jose through a paved trail in a small forest. Enjoy walking through Mission San Jose with it's walled compound, historic church, famous Rose Window and Diorama in the Granary. There is a very good 21 minutes film about the Missions in the Visitors Center. Next, head to the Hike & Bike Trail. Cross the River. 5 km walkers turn LEFT to circle Historic Hot Wells, and then head back to the start. 10 km walkers take the ramp or stairs up to the Acequia Trail. Follow the trail down to Acequia Park and the turn around at the Checkpoint. On the way back, circle Hot Wells before returning to the start

Event information
Cost is $40 per participant. You get a lovely medal, a t-shirt, a string bag, and more. No free or coupon walkers. Register on line for the walk. The price goes up after August 21. Walk up registration on 7 Sep 5:30 - 7 am.

Driving to the start
From the North, take I-35 to I-90. Go East on 90 one exit. Get off at Exit 573 and turn RIGHT on Probandt Street. LEFT on Mitchell St. RIGHT on Roosevelt Ave. LEFT on White Ave at the light. Park entrance will be on the right, just before the bridge. Free parking on the grass.
