Walk through Tahoe City on sidewalks and paved bike trails to the charming suburb of Lake Forest. Along the way you will go a short distance on dirt trails, see beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, the Coast Guard Station, a small state park (pets leashed), and out on the pier. Visit picnic areas and pass lakefront homes.

Event information
Hours: 6am--3pm daily. Snow/ice will cancel this event. Elevation 6,200 ft. 11k walk thru Tahoe City on paved bike trail to charming suburb of Lake Forest. 5k &11k. Short distance on dirt trails. Lake views, Coast Guard Station, small State Park- Pets leashed or carried. Picnic areas. 11k return picks up new Tahoe Lakeside Trail and historic Commons Beach area. Cross the Truckee River Dam.

Driving to the start box
Tahoe House Bakery and Gourmet 625 W. Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, CA 96145 530-583-1377. Eastbound I-80 from Sacramento or Westbound I-80 from Reno, exit #185 Hwy #89/Lake Tahoe at Truckee to Tahoe City. Upon entering the first round-about in Tahoe City, turn right to reach Hwy #89-S toward Emerald Bay. At the next round-about turn right onto #89 S toward Emerald Bay. Go about 0.2 mi. to Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet on right. From Hwy #50 in South Lake Tahoe, take Hwy #89 N to Tahoe City, 26.4 mi. to Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet on left. After registering you will drive 0.3-miles N to start 11k walk. Drive 2.5 miles for 5k start in Lake Forest. Driving directions to starts are on the walk instructions.
