Event comments

This event offers a 6-km route and a 11-km route that will take participants through much of the historic and notable sections of LaPorte. Along the way WE will marvel at the architecture of a bygone era, as well as take inspiration from the murals and pieces of public art depicting the community's past, present and future. A bonus will be passing through a traditional Mid-America downtown as the community prepares for the Holiday Season. Both routes utilize improved trails and city sidewalks within and maintained by the City of LaPorte, except for the portion of the 11-K route that will follow a road through the infamous Patton Cemetery, where some of the victims of LaPorte's "Black Widow" are interred.
